MELT IT!
Thursday, June 4, 2009

hahaha! i'm here to melt my 'frozen' blog. (for maybe at least today).

I don't have the mood to blog currently, actually. But the sight of this dead and same old previous post tempts me to blog sth. Sth, anything! & so, here it is:

Recently, i just finished watching the korean drama 'Boys Over Flowers'. It's damn good! And i love this korean song 'yearning of the heart' in the show. Listened for the '132415' times.

It's the holidays now! but it just doesn't seem like one. My first week's packed. And i didn't study at all! In fact, i think i lead a more carefree live in JC compared to Sec. Or it seems like i enjoy life more in JC. I'll be going to Sentosa 2times this week. (play volleyball. One is with class, another with Touch Rugby). I realised, playing beach volleyball is fun! As long as the sun's not that scorching and the sand doesn't burn my soles. & i'll be in the Asian Youth Games, as a card holder for the different countries. I've got Kazakhstan for opening ceremony and Timor Leste as closing ceremony. So, i'll have to search the net for the language they use, in order to communicate with them. Well, at least able to greet them in their native language.

After my holidays will be my Mid Year Exams. I really have to pass them and score much better for my maths to pull my overall grades up. Hadn't been doing well for my maths. Can't believe i'm still in my 'last min' behaviour. But i need the motivation! All those activities are drifting me away from the feel to study.

Argh, i really don't know what to type in this post. So whatever i'm typing in this post is seriously weird. Ahwells, at least there is sth new in my blog today! (: And to make this post look nicer, i'm gonna post some pictures. :D

new school life
Saturday, March 7, 2009

It's one month and two days since i last posted! This blog is 'dead'. Seriously, i could have just leave it dead till my long holidays start again. & the truth, i have the time to blog, instead, i did sth else.

Well, here's a brief description of my new school life:

Overall, fun & still relaxing. (in other words, slack).

Shall start with my new classmates, comprising of 25. It was 24 initally! 12boys and 12girls, perfect match for the mass dance. Btw, for our orientation, we had 3 mass dance, 2 of which is couple dance. It was really fun! I had a super enthusiastic partner, whom takes alot of effort to learn the dance. & i appeared on the stage twice with him.

Photos of class:

It was a bubbly class. I had this civis tutor (form cum physics teacher) who is super funny! He tells us lame jokes (quite ridiculous), making us laugh like mad. And his lesson proceeds quite slowly. It's really difficult to ask him questions. (worried for physics). Thank goodness, i had a great GP, also my PW, teacher. She resembles Miss See. Overall, i can keep up with the pace of the lectures. But the questions are much more tougher compared to secondary. i can stare at one question for one hour! I need help! I realised my school's proceeding quite slowly. Other schools like AJC and YJC are going fast and students very busy with studies. But I'm still enjoying. Surprisingly, it seems that i'm enjoying myself more in this school compared to secondary. (keep playing). Recently everytime there's a break, me and a group of friends will play this game called 'chucky'. Everywhere we go, we play. Even in Macs! As usual, i'm still procrastinating. I keep accumulating homework. I'm supposed to be doing my GP and PW (to be handed on Mon) now, but ended up typing this. Kaiting, start studying!

Oh yes, i'm gonna join touch rugby. Have a change, since i joined dance in pri, uniform group in sec, so now sports (: & some girls (6 of us) formed a group. "fruitsians", each with a kind of fruit. Mine is peach and Weitien's apple. (Weitien's in the same class as me! We've been in the same pri, sec and JC. (: )

About anything!
Thursday, February 5, 2009

Wow, i hadn't been blogging for quite a while. Hence, i decided to drop a post.

& i'm glad to say, I'm less addicted to TV! (: In other words, i'll have less excuse to sleep late, less excuse of not having enough time to do my homework. You see, i was a 'vampire' during CNY, due to insufficient sleeps. I had natural dark shadows encycling my eyes while my face appeared whiter (put powder). I guess that's one of the appearance of a vampire? I have been reading the twilight series, and that's how i've come up with the impression. Well, the panda eyes' has ceased, or just lighter, but i have the same usual eyebags. "Oh, your eyebags!" That's what Cheng Mun commented in the morning of 2days in school, when i was smiling.
Alright, it seems like i'm pretty concern about looks. For those who know me well, you would have heard me complaining about it. (kinda paranoid)
I will like to introduce this FANTASTIC, FABULOUS mushroom.
It's SHIITAKE MUSHROOM

It's not only huge, compared to others, it's simply tasty! You can cook it by the terpenyaki method, or fried with the tempura flour. You bite it, and the juice just oozes out. mmm..!! Really juicy. :P i love it!

Here are some random photos:
the 'ang angs' (red) taken during New Year.

The blues! (taken during CNY)

This year, i played lots of board games/ hands-on games, activities that kept me occupied during house visiting. Hence, i enjoyed most of the house visitings (: There's nice photos that i've taken with my cousins, which i may upload once i get my hands on them.

And I got into Nanyang JC! I was neutral (neither too elated nor too depressed) about it. Reasons:
1) It's my second choice. I wanted to get into AJC because it's nearer to my house. & i heard they scored good grades.
2) However, i heard that it'll be extremely stressful in AJC with those studious students who are mostly single pointers too.
3) I prefer NYJC's environment too, since i've accustomed to it in CCHY.
4) I've already somehow expected to get into NYJC before my postings result sent.
5) ... sth to do with friends, uniform, CCA ...
blahblah, and i decided to stay put at NYJC.

I dreaded going to my new school on the first day. Not because i'll be entering a new environment, but because it marks the beginning of waking early and sitting for exams. I couldn't sleep the day before my first day to school, worrying/irritated about the transportation. I have to take a bus because my mum do not have the time to fetch me straight, and i've to wake up much earlier then before. Since she gotta fetch my sis to yishun too. However, it seems like my first day to NYJC does change my impression about it. I was to assemble in the school hall at 8.30 for this week (& maybe future too?). Since it starts late, hence my dad's able to fetch me directly to school! hurray! (: Slowly, somehow, i was contended that i entered this school. I made a tough decision on subject combination, and ended up taking 4H2: Phy, Chem, Math, Econs, no cl. Just thinking about the subjects (4H2), i feel pressurized. The work load pressing on me. My next decision making will be the choice of CCA, tho it's not compulsory in my (new) school. There're miserably few CCAs to choose from. Currently in my mind is 'Outdoor Activities Club', but i'll check out how is it first. The chinese drama seems interesting too! However, 'chinese', i think you have to speak in chinese.

Alright, i shall post some other days. When will be the next time? I wonder.

URGH .

POOF.

I've finally settled on my school choice! A simple yet complicated decision to make. That was such a relieve, phew. A burden released from me. I guess i should have made that call earlier. A trusted, confident & experienced adult's words does makes a difference.

I feel so sick today. URGH. I have slight sore throat, bad flu and irritating block nose. Can't believe i'm actually posting this at this wee hour. My current expression is like this:
eyes: -.- (literally straight eyes)
mouth: :P (tongue sticking out like a dog's)
I had been forcing myself awake since morning. I felt so weak & lethargic sitting the whole day while the rest of my family's diligently doing housework or study. Well, it might have something to do with the current book i'm reading (new moon). Just 100more pgs to go & i'm done. I was awaiting for Edward to appear, and when he finally does, i had no feeling of excitement. Instead, i started to miss Jacob. What a weirdo i am. I decided to pause and help with the housework, sneezing away. And i found i'm in love with the song from Linkin Park, Leave Out All The Rest. (: Heard from shiyun it's a song from the Twilight movie. I linked it to the story i've read, letting images float past my mind, and my heart 'soften'.

(picture put up so i will not get bored)

I shall go for a morning jog tmr, so that i'll be fit and be at Zihan's house with exuberance. (Tho i'm still unsure whether i'm going)

DECISION
Wednesday, January 14, 2009

BE DECISIVE GIRL!
Touch your heart. Which is more important to you?
is it the CCA?
is it the culture?
is it the distance?
is it the people there?
is it the school uniform?
these are the answers to your second choice.

THE CHOICE
Monday, January 12, 2009

AHHH, i'm in a mess now! I'm feeling so confused. I'm deliberating between JC and Poly. I asked for opinions, and, almost everyone has different views. I will like to thank friends who discussed with me about it, listing the pros and cons. After much considerations, i decided to go JC. My interest is actually business course, marketing. I enjoy promoting stuffs. But to my disappointment, there are far too many people taking that course! It'll be so competitive. In addition, i want to learn something else (more to science), to further my knowledge on that topic and not just give up half way. It can also be some backed up plan. Thus, i've concluded. I'm going to JC, & i'm not going to think about poly. Glad, i've narrowed down the list (:

However, this is not the end. I contemplated which JC to go. Awman.. I don't mind going to NYJC, actually. But, there isn't the CCA that i want! (BOWLING!). Yes, i know you can start one. But you'll be the president, have to find admin, coach, players, blahblah. That's whole lot of work! So troublesome. I'll end up neglecting my studies instead. Or should i consider Outdoor Activities Club? If only i paid attention to Amaths. (greatest disappointment). At least there is one subject that i am proud of. Surprisingly better then i expected. The subject that i always struggled and feared, either pass or fail. If i scored just 2pts lesser, i wouldn't have to put myself into such difficulty. Alright, i'm getting off topic. Should i choose a distant school?

And i'm pretty sure, after i've got the school, i'll start all over again, thinking about the subjects i wanna take. Though it'll be much simplier.
